Excav811 ("Excav") provides a SaaS platform that automates interaction with 811 call centers in the United States. Excav enables contractors, utilities, and infrastructure operators to streamline the creation, monitoring, and management of excavation tickets.
Users sign up for Excav via a secure web interface, configure their credentials for specific 811 call centers, and authorize Excav to perform automated actions on their behalf. Excav uses these credentials within controlled serverless workflows that interact with call center portals to create,
update, or retrieve 811 tickets.
The platform aggregates ticket data, normalizes it, and presents it through dashboards, analytics, and alerting workflows, enabling customers to improve compliance, reduce risk, and increase operational efficiency.
Excav is delivered as a multi-tenant SaaS platform hosted entirely on AWS. The system relies on a combination of AWS Lambda serverless functions, AppSync GraphQL APIs, SQS queues, SES email integration, Cognito authentication, and supporting AWS-managed services
